Abstract
The authors performed detailed analyses of changes in structure and properties of wood on samples of various species of excavated wood, mostly from the earthworks in Szczecin, and defined the degree of changes and their causes. Definition of the magnitude of changes in structure and properties of this wood defines methods for further application in the conservation of wooden antiques. -- AATA
