Abstract
A Charge du Maréchal Ney à Waterloo of the Fine Arts Museum of Liege was relined; the support was made of strips of paper glued to the linen which was in bad condition. The paper was adhered to new linen with a wax-resin mixture, whose penetration helped to fix the paint layer. The procedure for the relining is explained in detail.
