This discovery is in regards to a wax-composition, which is capable of protecting rubber materials against damage and disintegration caused by ozone in a broad range of temperatures. Two methods have been known to attempt the prevention of destruction by ozone. The one consisting of the addition of a so- called antioxidant to the rubber material. The other method is by adding earth-oil-wax to the material. The last one being least expensive and it does not discolor. Both methods, however, are not satisfactory during all seasons of the year. The new invention is a wax-composition with hydrocarbons of two varying amounts of carbon atoms. This will form a layer on the surface of the rubber, protecting it in all seasons and temperatures, as well as in all conditions, while in transport or in storage. This new invention will eliminate the manufacture and storage of large quantities of different wax compositions, which is economically not desirable, since this new one covers all contingencies.
