In 2021, MCI worked with the U.S. Department of State’s Cultural Heritage Center to launch a series of virtual training workshops for federal law enforcement and other cultural heritage partners to share best practices and information on trends in cultural property trafficking. Three virtual workshops in 2021 focused on specific materials including manuscripts and forgeries. The series will continue in 2022 with a focus on regional cultural heritage. The online workshops were organized and hosted by MCI in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Department of Justice.
