The Museum Conservation Institute participates in a variety of capacity building programs to support cultural heritage protection both in the US and abroad. Through its on-going partnership with the Iraqi Institute for the Conservation of Antiquities and Heritage in Erbil, Iraq, MCI supports a variety of activities to expand and improve the skills and knowledge of individuals who have responsibilities caring for their own cultural heritage. MCI also supports other SI programs in the cultural heritage protection, partnering with others to expand our reach.
